Arabica beans contain on average only half the caffeine of cheaper and inferior robusta coffee beans. (Stronger taste usually means less caffeine, not more).
Green unroasted coffee can be stored for a year or more without any noticeable deterioration, whereas roasted coffee starts to go stale after 10 – 14 days however it is stored.
Coffee is one of the top 5 traded commodities in the world, and depending on how it is measured, according to some, is the second highest traded commodity after oil.
It takes approximately only 16 – 17 minutes to roast a batch of beans
Brazil produces about 40% of the world’s coffee.
